The second quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends for the top communication apps in Turkey, with performance data gathered from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a high level of weekly downloads, peaking at around 529K in mid-April. However, it saw a gradual decline towards the end of the quarter, closing at approximately 303K downloads. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 50M to 51M throughout the period.

Snapchat showed a significant increase in weekly revenue, starting from $4.7K and reaching up to $9.9K by the end of June. Downloads were also strong, with a notable spike to around 349K in mid-April before settling at approximately 262K in the last week of June. Active users exhibited slight fluctuations but generally stayed between 15M to 17M.

Getcontact experienced a steady rise in revenue, starting at $23.8K and peaking at about $35K by the end of the quarter. Download numbers showed significant variability, peaking at around 347K in the last week of June. Active users increased from approximately 680K to 870K over the quarter.

Telegram had a consistent revenue trend, starting at $13.2K and ending at around $12.6K. The app's weekly downloads ranged from 159K to 218K, with a noticeable peak in late April. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 8.5M to 8.9M throughout the quarter.

Messenger showed a slight decline in revenue, starting at $126 and closing at $83. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, with a minor peak at around 110K in mid-April. Active users hovered around 23M, with minor fluctuations observed throughout the quarter.
